Only 7days...REALLY?

It only took 7 days of school for one of my kids to get sick...REALLY sick.

Seriously...my kids have not thrown up in 3 years. Remember they've been homeschooled for 3 years. Macey has NEVER thrown up a day in her life. I knew it was coming, but just didn't know it would be within a weeks time.

Madison was complaining last night how she didn't feel good. She was sneezing a lot and had a runny nose. I already knew that this morning was going to be tough. As hard as school has been for her I wanted to keep her home, but I also didn't want her to think that with every cold she could stay out.

After a long talk, she made the decision to go on to school. I no more get home and walked in the door and the phone rings - She has thrown up and I'm heading back to school to get her.

Boy do I feel bad now. Well now her teacher wants me to see if I can talk her into staying cause she didn't want her to get behind. WHAT?

We came to an agreement that I would take her home, go over the story with her, and then maybe check her back in.

After about 5 minutes of being home she starts throwing up again...

My baby will not be going back to school today.

I hope and pray a fast healing and that she can enjoy her weekend off.

Oh my...I never knew

I went back to our pictures from 2006. That's how long it's been since we were at the beach, ugh!! We didn't even have Mae Mae yet. In fact I was prego with her on that trip and didn't know it. Anyway, our youngest, at that time, celebrated her 5th birthday while we were there. That's almost 3 years to the date. She'll be 8 on July 19. I can't believe how little she looks and at that time I was sad b/c I thought my baby was growing up...little did I know.

Florida 104

One thing that I NEVER in a million years considered was how much she looks like her big brother Alex. Take a look at him when he was 5. OMG! I always thought she was a spitting image of me in my younger days. Does this mean he is too? It's weird how sometimes you don't notice those things until years later. I know the quality is bad but he has the smile I was looking for in this photo.

Oh how I miss those years:(

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well I have been debating on whether or not to post this b/c I didn't want my kids at risk of reading this. They don't read my blog, but they do have a tendency to stand over my shoulder and want to read or see what I'm doing.

Any way, I think most of my readers know about our previous vacation trip. It was great, but all of that rain we endured was very hard. Especially after waiting 13 years for a trip. Hubby and I have talked and talked about how we can squeeze a trip back to Disney World...SOON. We finally said what the heck, lets just go ahead and book a trip. We can always cancel and no harm done, right. Well, now we have a trip booked for late Sept. (during my bday) I know it's crazy. I'm not even sure we can pull it off. It's going to take chunks of money from the next few pay checks to pay for the trip. Oh did I mention we would be getting free dining?

We are NOT going to tell the kids, at least not for a while anyway. I would hate to get them excited and then burst their bubbles. I hate to even burst my bubble.

I guess for now this means...
No Gain detergant (I love the smell of my laundry when washed with Gain)
No huggies diapers (shouldn't be buying diapers anyway)
No Bunny bread (I had to spreed P.Butter on cheap bread)
No Dr.Peppers (well for the kids anyway, hubby won't drink fake DP)
No Bounty paper towels (OMG, that will be a hard one)
No cereal boxes with well know characters on it (oh wait, we haven't been doing that anyway:)

O.K. so you get the idea.

Oh crap, I just remembered that we would have to board our dog. Hmmm things are adding up fast. Like I said I feel real doubtful that we can pull it off, but if we don't then any money we have been able to save can be used for Christmas , right?

Yes, I know this photo has nothing to do with this post, but I think a post with no photos is boring. So here is a picture of one of my beautiful daughters sporting her new toothless smile.

Knock Out

Another tooth gone, sigh. My next to youngest daughter, Madison lost her first top tooth over the weekend. Actually her cousin accidentally knocked it out. Madison was happy though. She had been wanting that tooth to fall out for quiet some time.

I don't know what it is about those top teeth, but when they loose those they just start to look different. I guess it's the changing from small kid to bigger kid. I love toothless grins though.

IMG_1334copy

They thought it would be funny for me to take a picture of Molly "punching" Madison's tooth out. Madison is not much for acting, as you can tell from this photo. I told her to look like she had just been punched and this is what she came up with hahaha

IMG_1338

Oh yeah, oops! I wasn't suppose to post this to my blog, facebook page etc. etc. Shhh don't tell her.

The next morning we all went swimming. I put them all in pig tails. Even miss Allison on the far right. I was shocked! She was the first to pull them out to, I think.

Oh, I'm so tired and I think hubby and I might watch a movie so I'll post more later.

Blowing Bubbles

Yesterday we enjoyed the Spring like weather we're having here. This was Macey's first time to blow bubbles all by herself. Didn't take her long to get the idea. I just love those spill proof bubble bottles.

IMG_8823 copy 2

I also love that Macey's hair is getting long enough for piggy tails.

Madison taught Macey how to blow the bubbles.

Lost Tooth

O.K. so I've got to play "catch-up" here. Madison lost her 2nd tooth. This was actually on 2-10-09. She was so excited. This meant that the Tooth Fairy got to use her new door. Both times her tooth just fell out early in the morning. She hasn't had to pull either of them (which my kids have never done) I can't encourage them, as I have this weird thing about loose teeth. YUK! I even have nightmares about my teeth falling out, shattering, growing in sideways etc. etc. I know, weird huh. I do this quiet often and have no idea why.

Change of topic...
We will be heading for Walt Disney World in 76 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I'm slightly excited about this trip. Maybe even more so than the kids. This will be our first trip. We haven't had many vacations. Really the only 2 we've had was to Fl. to visit my dad, which are considered vacations, but ONLY 2 in 13 years!!!!! Yikes, yes we are in desperate need of one. Well, it doesn't take much to get my creative juices a flowin' Just like I do for the kids birthday parties, I have created all sorts of things for our trip. I'm working on Epcot passports, Activity books, Iron-on designs for T-shirts. You name it, I'm probably working on that too. Not to mention that little Mae Mae is about to turn 2, and she will be having a Minnie Mouse party :) I have to make her a birthday outfit, make her cake, make treats for the kids, and anything else I can come up with. I so love doing this sort of thing. Here is one of my designs I've done for a T-shirt.
I heart Mickey

You can see more of them in my Photobucket account. Click on the albums on the left hand side of the page in photobucket to see all the stuff I've created. If you like them feel free to copy them and use them for YOURSELF, or make and GIVE to a friend.

Well it's way past time for me to get some sleep. I'm baby sitting my little nephew in the morning. He'll be here at 7 am.

Tattooed Baby

Just a reminder that no matter how much you think the older siblings are growing up and maturing they are still kids and will do some outrageous things from time to time. Here's the story, I set little Mae Mae up at the kitchen table in her booster seat, gave her paper and some washable non-toxic toddler markers. I asked my 7 yr. old if she would sit beside her and draw with her. Knowing that my 13 year old and 9 year old (which the 9 yr. old is very motherly) were just in the next room. I proceeded to quickly clean the bathroom. I expected little bit to do some drawing on herself. What I didn't expect was that my 7 year old decided to do a little drawing too. Not on herself mind you, but on little bit. My 9 year old comes down the hall and says do you know that Macey is drawing on herself? I said well I figured she would do some of that. She then said, did you know that Madison has been drawing on Macey too? What! She said, yea, you should come look at her. Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to find. It actually was a bit funny, yet shocking. Notice the "eye shadow" that my 7 yr. old applied. Thank goodness for the toddler markers from Crayola. They wash off almost immediately as soon as you place your child in the tub. Not much scrubbing is needed.

Random Picture Challenge

This idea came from 4 little men and girly twins blog. The random picture was to be from August 2007...the 30th photo. When I went to my folder and saw that it was of Madison brushing her teeth, I thought I have got to do this since I just posted Macey doing the same thing in the same spot just a post before. How weird is that?
