Christmas cards are on their way!!

If you haven't learned by now, I'm the biggest procrastinator (OMG, I just spelled that word right on the first try! :O ) their ever was. And getting my Christmas cards out is no different. I had to put a rush on the shipping, LOL. I got them today and I am busy addressing them all.

I wanted something really cute and unique this year for our cards, but nothing really seemed to hit the spot. Finally I got a family portrait of us all. It's not what I had in mind...at all! However, I do like what I came up with. Give me a couple of days and I'll post our digital Christmas card!

Christmas ornament project...Disney!

When I saw these ornaments, I knew what I wanted for my tree this year. Except when I figured up how much that would cost me to get everything I wanted, I had to rethink the whole idea.

It didn't take me long to decide...hey, I can me some. :)

I wasn't exactly sure how, but I went to the store with some ideas in my head and they worked out pretty good. I wanted to share this with all you Disney fans like me:)

I bought some of those foam sheets, you know, they are in the craft section right beside the felt sheets. Printed out a Mickey silhouette and then traced the ears out on the foam. Cut them out and then hot glued it to the ornament.

Add a bow and Mickey become Minnie! :)

Sitting there, I said to myself hmmm, I wonder if I could add some buttons to the red ornaments and make them look like his pants. Except something didn't look right. That's when my hubby suggested, YES that's right I said my hubby, I LOVE it when he gets involved. He said why don't you paint the top part black. BINGO! That worked. He even found the perfect cup size for me to trace the circle on. These are the cups you place in your bathroom. Matte finish ornaments works best and looks better. The shinny ones didn't take the coloring as well.

Now I have a whole army of Mickey/Minnie ornaments.

They look even better on a tree:)

I Heart Faces - "Sweet Dreams"

A visit to see Santa

Just had to make a quick post to show off how adorable Macey's visit with Santa was today. :)

She has always loved most characters, but still you never know. I've been talking to her lately about going and seeing Santa. She got so excited!! I can't believe they let me use my own camera! I didn't have to buy there pics. In fact when the lady asked if I would be buying theirs I told her no thank you so she didn't even snap, LOL!!! I think I want to go back and next time video tape it.

I've got a million of things to be doing so I'll end this post here...

Rainbow + Clouds = ONE amazing Creator!

Yesterday after hubby and I picked up the kiddos from school we saw the BIGGEST, BRIGHTEST rainbow EVER!!!

It was hands down the best one I've ever seen. We were at a big open location and saw it from end to end without anything in the way.

Can I say it again? 

It WAS gorgeous!

Guess what?!

I did NOT have my camera with me, and I was sad :(

We were literally minutes away from our home. Hubby drove fast and I ran in to get my camera.

When we came back the sun was brighter and brighter and the rainbow was gone. :(

We spotted a little hint of it and hubby went to chasing it, LOL! We drove quiet a while but was never able to get the full affect we saw earlier. Just for the sake of having a picture I took this lousy shot through the car window, while hubby was driving. I know, horrible isn't it?

Don't you just love all of those power lines?

I was very thankful that ALL my kids did in fact see it and that we all saw it together.

Even little Macey saw it too...it was her first rainbow.

On our way back home I did stop hubby and said I would love to take a picture of that cloud with the sun behind it!

I would love to take more nature photos. When I see things like rainbows and the like, it reminds of just how big and amazing our Creator must be.
